Carer’s Stories

Pink Icon: typewriter representing carer's stories

We would like to share with you some Carer’s Stories. Reading the stories of other carers can be:

  • Reassuring – to know that you are not the only one going through ‘this’.
  • Helpful – to find out tips about what works for them and could work for you.
  • Inspirational – to help you look beyond the everyday and start to focus on your wellbeing and dreams for the future.
  • Motivational – encouraging you to identify yourself as a carer and seek support.

Sometimes carers are anxious about using the telephone or meeting people they don’t know in person. Using our social media channels is a more informal way of contacting us and can help carers maintain a virtual distance. This can be reassuring and build trust. In time, many carers then feel able to share their caring story with us.
