As a carer your experience and knowledge can make a valuable contribution to the planning and development of our service. We welcome any feedback you may have. Whether it’s to let us know you loved one of our events, an area you think needs improvement or an idea or gap in service that you think we could use.

Here are some examples of carer feedback and our response/actions.
‘I would love to come to the carers break sessions but I work all day during the week and I can’t make it.’
We listened to the need for break sessions in the evening and weekends and have started to incorporate these ‘out of hours’ sessions into the schedule. Hopefully this will make the sessions more accessible for those carers who are working or busy during the week/office hours.
‘I don’t have a computer or access to the internet, but I would like to receive the Carers Centre newsletter.’
After listening to the need for a printed version of our newsletter that can be collected/viewed at Portsmouth Carers Centre or posted to your home address. We now have a postal newsletter mailing list and send out printed copies to coincide with the email release.

Feedback via Facebook and Instagram
If you use Facebook or Instagram – these are a great way to interact with Portsmouth Carers Service by sharing, liking, commenting or messaging us.
Sometimes carers are anxious about using the telephone or meeting people they don’t know in person. Using our social media channels is a more informal way of contacting us and can help carers maintain a virtual distance. This can be reassuring and build trust. In time, many carers then feel able to have a conversation on the phone or even in person.
