Carers Rights Day – Thursday 20th November 2025

Carers Rights Day 2025 - Do you know your rights as a carer?

About Carers Rights Day

Carers Rights Day is a national campaign dedicated to raising awareness of the rights and support available to unpaid carers. Across the UK, millions of people care for family members or friends who are ill, disabled, or elderly – often without recognising themselves as carers. This day helps ensure carers know their legal rights, understand the help available, and feel confident in accessing support.

The aims of Carers Rights Day are to:

  • Empower carers by sharing information about benefits, workplace rights, and health and social care support.
  • Promote awareness of Carer’s Assessments and flexible working options.
  • Connect carers with local services and each other for advice and encouragement.

The theme for 2025 is “Know your rights, use your rights”, encouraging carers to take action and feel supported.
