The Children’s Society

The Children’s Society has lots of useful information about young carers, what kind of responsibilities they can have and how this can impact on their lives and their mental and physical health.  Click here to link to their website.

Young Adult Carers

Once a young carer reaches 18 years old, they are able to join the Young Adult Carers Group. This group builds on the foundations of the Monday Club and introduces a focus for the older carers and their needs, such as continuing education and employment support. Young Adult carers are then able to receive support from Portsmouth Carers Service.
